We are pleased to announce that the First Moscow Watercolor Festival in Moscow will take place in October 20–22, 2017. The Festival is going to become a real treat for all watercolor lovers.
3 days of workshops, exhibition, lectures, paintings with the great watercolor artists of the world in a warm and friendly atmosphere
At the moment we are negotiating with artists about the way they would like to participate at the Festival. Please find below the list of the artists who have already confirmed their personal participation. The list is not the final one, watch for updates.

Luis Ruiz Padron
Outstanding Spanish sketcher, architect and writer. He has been awarded for several international art competitions and also has taken part in foreign exhibitions.
Master of watercolors arts, architect and member of the Association of Polish Watercolor Artists. Participant of international exhibitions. Teaches world-wide master classes.
Author bestseller — «Urban watercolor sketch: A guide to painting, painting and storytelling in color». Professional illustrator.
Spainish artist that previously was engaged in architecture and this has had an influence on his works. He has won several international awards.
Botanical illustrator, Jessica Rosemary Shepherd, works under the pseudonym Inky Leaves. He writes large-format watercolor paintings with the finest details. This greatly distinguishes them from traditional botanical works.
He began to paint during serving in the army. He studied watercolor art from several masters and has participated in the international festivals and exhibitions.
Pablo Rubén López Sanz
Artist from Spain, a master of urban and industrial subjects. In his paintings there is little sun and much clouds — this is not very typical for the Spaniards. Pablo takes part in many exhibitions and gives master classes all over the world.
Activities within the Festival
An exhibition of contemporary Russian and foreign watercolor artists will be held during the Festival. You will see the originals of the paintings, some of them can be even purchased.
Watercolor Masters from Russia, Germany, USA, Spain, Italy, Belarus, China, Thailand, India, Great Britain will present their paintings.
Invited Watercolor Artists will conduct workshops, will discover some secrets of working with watercolor, will share a creative lifehacks. The educational process will be on the artist's native language with consecutive translation into Russian. No more than 14-16 people in a group, entrance is strictly by ticket.
A minimum set of materials will be provided, if you prefer you can use your own tools.
A demonstrating workshop will allow you to see with your own eyes a creative process of modern watercolor masters. You will see all the stages of painters' work, artists will share their skills with you and disclose their secrets.
At the end of each demo-workshop will be some time for QA session. Up to 50 people in a group, admission is strictly by ticket.

The Festival is held by Kalacheva Art School, one of the biggest painting school in Russia. The school is licensed by the Russian Ministry of Education for educational activities, offers a lot of online courses (watercolor painting, pastels, oil, calligraphy, academic drawing, human anatomy for students of different levels of training), has 5 studios in Russia (Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Ekaterinburg). 40 teachers currently work at the school.
